Everest - Decorative PVA Flakes for Epoxy Floor Systems

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Everest - Decorative PVA Flakes are professional-grade, colourfast polyvinyl acetate flakes designed for use in epoxy flake flooring systems. These decorative flakes are used to enhance aesthetics, provide anti-slip properties, and help conceal surface imperfections when applied over a wet coat of solvent-free epoxy paint.

Specifically formulated for compatibility with Everest’s solvent-free epoxy floor coatings, these flakes are available in scatter or full-blind finishes and sealed with a durable, UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat. The result is a seamless, high-performance floor suitable for commercial, industrial, and residential use.

IDEAL FOR
Workshops, garages, showrooms, warehouses, commercial kitchens, cleanrooms, retail spaces, and other heavy-use environments requiring both durability and visual appeal.

SURFACE PREPARATION
Prepare concrete surfaces by ensuring they are clean, dry, and free from contaminants. Surface must be sound and may be primed with an appropriate epoxy primer if needed, depending on porosity and condition of the substrate. Mechanical preparation (e.g., grinding or shot blasting) is recommended to ensure optimal adhesion.

APPLICATION
1. (Optional) Apply epoxy primer to the prepared surface and allow to cure as per manufacturer guidance.
2. Apply the first coat of Everest Solvent-Free Epoxy Floor Paint and allow to cure.
3. Apply the second coat of epoxy floor paint.
4. While the second coat is still wet, broadcast Everest Decorative Flakes:
• Scatter finish: 1 kg per 10 m²
• Full-blind finish: 10 kg per 10 m²
5. Allow the floor to cure, then remove excess flakes if needed.
6. Finish with Everest Polyaspartic Clear Coat (UV-stable) at approx. 1 kg per 10 m² for protection and gloss.

• Full-Blind Finish: 10 kg per 10 m²
• Clear Coat: 1 kg per 10 m²

STORAGE AND SAFETY
Store in sealed, original packaging in a cool, dry location. Avoid moisture and direct sunlight. Wear appropriate PPE during broadcast to prevent inhalation of airborne flakes. Non-toxic and non-hazardous under normal use conditions.

AVAILABLE COLOURS
Offered in a range of pre-mixed multi-tone blends including Granite, Glacier, Smoke, and Graphite. Custom blends available upon request to suit project-specific requirements.

Note: This listing is for decorative flakes only. Compatible epoxy basecoats, primers, and polyaspartic sealers are sold separately as part of the complete Everest flake flooring system.

Great paint...fantastic coverage 2 coats on a medium and large patio plus some left over in case I need to touch up
Both looked tired and would of cost loads to replace given them a whole new lease if life looks really good
Tip....get the primer off here too very good coverage and allows the paint to grip and seals the slabs well.

Just GET it, get it now!

I do a lot of painting and always appreciate a good product. THESE are great products.
Firstly, order and delivery was fine, though when I opened each tin and took in the delicious smell, I thought to myself ‘well that will never wash out in soapy water!’ (Both the primer and paint wash out COMPLETELY easily in soapy water, in fact some days I didn’t even bother with the soap!)
I started weeding and repointing my ugly slabs in May. Having no way of using a pressure washer, I scrubbed down them twice using plain water with a squirt of Fairy liquid. (I live on a beach so the floor gets pretty filthy, pretty quick.)
Seeing a break in the weather of ten days or more, I chose to paint this week and the whole experience was trouble free. I used one coat of Everest Trade Concrete Dustproofer/Floor Primer and two coats of Anti Slip Ultimate QD Concrete Floor Paint & Sealer in brick red.
This paint is SO easy to use. The primer looked a little flimsy at first glance, a little bit ‘meh’, but BOY does it do a good job! The paint stayed consistent to the bottom of the tin and went on wonderfully. You’ll NEED good weather and you’ll NEED a clean surface but if you’ve got both of those, all you’ll need to turn an ugly yard into a garden is these two products.

Fantastic Sealer

My Garden concrete floor was extremely dusty so I decided to use the sealer which was the best decision I have made and I have saved £££. I applied the sealer with a brush but found that using a cheap pressure sprayer was more effective and efficient.

Moreover the customer service was excellent I would most certainly recommend the product.

Wow!

We have tried everything to make our patio look nice. I then came across this paint and saw the reviews which looked to be good to be true. I can honestly say this paint is amazing! It has transformed our patio with just one coat. We chose dark grey and the colour is perfect. Would highly recommend.

I bought this as the previous product I used on my Cattery floor would soon scratch and flake, this was brilliant - it dried really quickly, covered the dark green I already had down and was easy to use. It's been down a few weeks now and I'm really pleased so far

Exactly as it says on the tin!

I am a pretty seasoned DIYer and after some research on the web, and amongst those I know have painted garage floors I steered clear of those products that most likely with "domestic" use would not stand the test of time. Wearing through in walkways, tyres scuffing through the finish... I have only had this finish completed a few weeks, the rich thickness and texture indicates a solid product for what I needed...the caveat, if you could call it as such is the system itself...it proved wise for me to add the paddle stirrer and extra roller heads to the order, because the contents must be thoroughly stirred before use, a total doddle with a power drill set to slow! The rollers became disposable after each application removing the chances of spills and a pretty noxious mix having to be disposed of correctly..all in all a very bright super workspace as a result...
