A solvent-borne, bituminous compound of a high build consistency containing a small percentage of fibrous filler. Dries to a tough, black coating.
A general purpose, high performance, waterproof coating suitable for use on mastic asphalt, roofing felt, corrugated iron, fibre/cement, slates, lead, copper, tin and zinc. Excellent resistance to extremes of temperature and does not crack in the cold or flow in the sun. Recommended where the threat of frost or rain precludes the use of an emulsion. Can be overcoated with a suitable decorative solar reflective paint to prolong the life of the coating.
As a heavy brush coating for roof waterproofing and the resealing of existing roofs of mastic asphalt, roofing felt, corrugated iron and fibre/cement slates, lead, copper and zinc. Recommended where the threat of frost or rain precludes the use of an emulsion.
All surfaces must be structurally sound, clean, dry and free from surface contaminants such as grease, rust and dirt. If necessary, remove any organic growth i.e. lichen, with a fungicidal wash such as Bond It Mould Stop. If the surface is still dusty after cleaning, or covered with weathered bitumen, prime with BITUMEN PRIMER and allow to dry.
STIR WELL BEFORE USE. Apply ALL WEATHER ROOFING COMPOUND by brush or broom, with each coat at right angles to the previous one, at a maximum rate of 0.75 litres per m2.
Allow each coat to dry thoroughly. Where necessary reinforce with either an open woven glass fibre membrane or an open mesh polyester membrane. Note: this material should only be applied to surfaces that are completely dry and great care should be taken to ensure that when applied to bitumen felt, no moisture is contained within the felt.
In order to prolong the effective life of the dried coating, it is recommended that it can be overcoated with Bond It SOLAR REFLECTIVE PAINT but leave for at least 10 days before applying the reflective coating.
Approximately 24 hours under average conditions. Allow 24 hours between coats.
